An Introduction to TikTok Marketing

Launched in 2017, TikTok is a video-sharing social network owned by Chinese company ByteDance and with over 1 billion current users and 800 million monthly active users, it is becoming a hot cake on the social media scene. TikTok is available in over 150 countries and businesses, brands, celebrities, influencers are now making use of the platform.

The TikTok mobile app has been built in a way that it allows users to create short videos, with music in the background. A wide range of music variety is also available for users to choose from.

Now, to the question. Can marketing be done on TikTok? Of course, YES.

TikTok is experiencing a period of exponential growth at the moment, and many brands are now shifting their attention to this platform knowing fully well that their uploaded videos will attract likes, comments and shares from other users which will definitely increase their follower base and which is very good for their business.

Another important feature of TikTok that brands are taking advantage of is the link in bio feature on the platform. Although at the moment, only select users can make use of this feature but chances are that soon, it will be made available to all.  But still, all users can add links to their social media profiles.

Finally, TitTok Ads are increasingly becoming common as many brands are now making use of it. TikTok is growing and gaining ground on the internet space daily. If your brand’s target audience includes anyone between the age 13 and 40, you should be on TikTok right now.

Good article, I will add though, that anybody can add their link in to the bio, you just need to change the account to a Pro account which is free. I did an article on how to do this a few weeks ago. You can see it here..
