Applying the basics of SEO in blog posts

Search Engine Optimization, aka SEO, is a vast digital marketing strategy to enhance your website ranking on search results in google. A thorough understanding of SEO isn’t a bed of roses. But you always need to start from the bottom to reach the peak. Put your writing shoes on, and let me advise you how to kick start your writing career with SEO basics. The following are some steps required to understand the concept of SEO.

1) Include primary keywords

Primary keywords are the backbone of the SEO content. These are usually the title of the content you’re writing for. You must include them several times in the content to enhance the optimization of the content. For a 1000 word article, it should regulate the primary keyword for about 6-7 times, with its inclusion always making a sense and useful constructed sentence.

2)  Add secondary keywords, aka LSI

Secondary keywords are as essential as the primary keywords for the better ranking of your blog content on google. They are also known as Latent Semantic Indexing. These are the associated keywords with the title of your content or the primary keyword. But the question is, where to find them? Its bread and butter to locate and find them.LSI Graph and Uber Suggest are two leading keywords generating websites that definitely helps you optimize your content.

Google’s relevant searches where it shows what people also searched for are all the semantic keywords. Approximately 15-20 LSI words should be added in a 1000 word content.

3) Bring external links

External linking is very important to prove the research of your content and optimize the content. To prove your research work, you need to include the links from the other “HIGH DOMAIN AUTHORITY”. On the one hand, it will satisfy the readers from your research work. On the other, it will enhance the optimization of your blog posts/ websites.

4) Add optimised images (no copyright images)

You must add images relevant to the topic to enhance the graphics and interest of the viewers related to the topic. images  from Unsplash help you a lot. It possesses free images with no copyright claims.

5) Use solid stats

Your content can be further optimised by adding solid authenticated stats, facts and figures in your content. There are some sites granting authenticate proofs and stats that can be added in the blogs. Statista and Google Scholar provide you such accurate researches and figures that can further optimize the ranking of blog and make it SEO friendly.

6) Purchase SEO tools

After applying the above SEO tactics in your blog/articles, you need to step ahead and further enhance your content to make it appear on the first page of Google. I recommend Ahref and Google Search Console, but it varies from person to person as everyone has its own opinion and taste.

So here it is from my side, if there is any room left for improvement or for any further query, comment on and let me know.
