You don’t need to be a mega influencer to earn money this way. You just need a loyal, engaged following. Obviously, the bigger your audience, the more money brands will be willing to pay you. But you don’t have to be huge.
Pro Tip: To make it easier for brands to contact you, link your Instagram account to your TikTok account; also include your email address and website address.
To add your Instagram account to your TikTok Profile bio just go to “Edit profile” where you will find an option to link your Instagram account.
After this, your Instagram icon will appear on your account; you can add something like “For business inquires contact me on Instagram”.

This method does not make a ton of money, but it’s one of the easiest methods to implement. And it’s a good option that will bring in some money while you grow your main account.
Basically, the way this works is you offer to assist larger accounts that have a lot of comments to reply to, and a lot of content to manage.

If you do not know how affiliate marketing works, it is pretty simple. You basically promote products (from other companies) using special links, and you make a commission every time someone buys a product after clicking on your link.
Affiliate marketing is great for people who have a large following on TikTok, but don’t want to actually sell anything. All you have to do is refer people to other companies’ products.
You can also use the Instagram account linking and website linking tools to your advantage in promoting your affiliate products.

Pro Tip: TikTok has recently launched “TikTok for business” where you can advertise your affiliate products or even your own products. Just make sure you are in compliance with TikTok’s terms and conditions.
In July 2020, TikTok started paying some creators. The pay is approximately 1-6 cents per thousand views. So the pay is not very high, but if you have a big enough following, then it can add up.
You must be at least 18 years old, and you must have at least 10,000 followers. Also, you’ll need over 10,000 video views in the past few days.
Currently, the program is only available in Europe and the USA,, but it is expanding to more countries soon.
To make money as a creator, you need a pro account. Converting to a pro account is easy and free; just go to account settings > manage account > switch to Pro account.
On a side note, a pro account has other benefits. It lets you get detailed analytics (such as what percentage of men and woman watch your content) which can help you leverage your earning potential on the platform.
After you set up your pro account, you will be able to see the creator fund option in your Pro account settings.
